Ultimate Downhill Machines: Kingsbaby, JWreck and their mysterious third member, Kevbot. With a collection of tools that includes turntables, drum pads, synths, vocoders and several JazzMutant Lemurs, Ultimate Downhill Machines play house music that can bring a crowd into a dancing frenzy or a chanting chorus. This Omaha, Nebraska group formed in July 2009 and since then they have consistently delivered a popular podcast and garnered a number one spot on Reverbnation.com just two months after they formed their crew. Kingsbaby has over 13 years of experience as a turntabalist, playing alongside Jam-Master Jay and Run DMC. More recently he has been collaborating on a track with the father of Electroclash, New York’s Larry Tee. JWreck is the scratch master and controller enthusiast of the group. After countless bookings side by side, the name Bassthoven was coined at Harvest Fest at Harmony Park in the Summer of 2009 and has been a staple of Midwest electronic music since. You may remember these guys from the Bassnectar after hours in Omaha not too long ago! Expect a provocative blend of deep dubstep, wompy glitch hop, and bangin electro from Bassthoven.

This has been one awesome summer. Seems like each week I get a new toy or sound, or like I did for this mix: re-create a new sound from everything I already have. EOTO has rocked me every weekend straight for weeks now, I can’t get live sound outta my head. So you’ll see me looping and playing along with different synths on this mix. It’s a work in progress, but I’m proud of this step. Awesome mix to pick up if you’re going out to any festys and need 2 hrs of solid bangers to jam out to. Enjoy!

SUNDAY FUNDAY! Episode 23 happened on a whim. Each month Hula Hoop Lincoln has been asking Bentone and myself (BLAC) to dj at hole 2 at our local disc golf course. Artists are invited to all bring their own craft and we just get down in a park next to a speaker. After some fun in the sun we all went back to my pad and BENTONE was more than willing to jam out for us. We started drinking, I busted out a turntable…and you might even hear me give some lessons to my roommate in the middle of the mix. In short, this mix was just for fun, spur of the moment compilation of some BENTONE classics. Not for promo use, this one is for funday.
